Dr.  Siam is the Founding Director of the Allen H.  Gould Trading Floor with Joint Appointment.  Assistant Professor of Accounting & Financial Management Services, and Assistant Professor of Finance & Business Economics at DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University.  His research and consultation include markets microstructure, information technology, risk management and business education.  He brings a combination of academic and business experience to the classroom and integrates technology and experiential approaches in his teaching.
He has developed a unique case-based trading software called "Market Maker" and unique courses in trading and risk management.  Prior to joining DeGroote, he held the positions of Options Specialist, Market Maker, and Liability Trader at the Montreal Exchange.

His research has been published in the Journal of Management Information System, Review of Accounting and Finance and Journal of Financail Education, textbooks "Trading Manual", Research Monograph and chapters in textbooks and in proceedings of conferences such as ICIS (best paper in its Track) and AMCIS.
